Julien Brazeau was appointed Associate Assistant Deputy Minister of the Financial Sector Policy Branch at the Department of Finance in 2022. As a Director General Julien has been deeply involved in the economic measures taken under the Emergencies Act, led the Government’s work on the seizure and forfeiture of Russian assets in support of Ukraine, and was instrumental in advancing other key Government priorities such as Beneficial Ownership.
