Layial is the Executive Director of Fintech Cadence. She sits on the Advisory Board of Queen’s University’s MFIT and Payments Canada’s Stakeholder Advisory Council. In ’22 and ’23, Layial was nominated for the DMZ’s Women of the Year award. In ’19, Layial was identified as one of the Digital Finance Institute’s Top 50 Women in Fintech. In ’18, Layial was awarded Mentor of the Year by Montreal NewTech for having the most significant and positive impact guiding MTL-based startups.
