As AVP of Technology Business Management at Interac, Jessica manages the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, which involves supporting the business planning, operational governance and strategic communications for the Technology and Operations group. Over her 5 years with Interac, Jessica has held various roles including the lead of the Agile transformation and practice, as well as program manager of Interac’s multi-year technology modernization program.
Jessica Lerro has been a woman in tech since the start of her career and understands what it’s like to work in a traditionally male-dominant field. Drawing from her personal experiences and inspired by women mentors around her, Jessica naturally developed a passion for women advancement and advocacy in the workplace. At Interac, Jessica spearheaded the Women’s Mentorship program in 2021, which has continued annually as a result of its success and growth. Jessica also had the opportunity to participate in the HeARTwork initiative led by Conscious Economics, where she and other diverse women leaders contributed to the development of a solutions framework to address gender equity challenges in corporate Canada.
